I drip acclimated a pair of kribs for over 2 hours and they still gasped for air. Only thing that helped was a quick 25% water change and that was with lowering CO2 levels prior to the drip...

Ah ok. I plugged the safety hole with filter floss, but after a couple years I removed it. I didn't notice any difference in flow off the top.
