I would think any small power head would work - I have a small Rio pump that looks like it would work on mine. but I don't know if you have to keep the power to the old dc pump for the UV side of it...

Outer bank are pretty cool actually, the dunes are neat, kitty hawk museum, NC aquarium that is close by on the mainland is awesome and great fishing
