have you tried adding few pot scrubbers inside the reactor? this will increase the dissolve rate of co2 and make the co2 dissolve better.

what kind of lights are you using and how are you diffusing the co2? you dont have enough plant to uptake enough nutrients in your tank, most of your plants are slow growing and some of them are fast...

this will depend on what kind of Iron you are dosing, DTPA, EDTA, Gluconate etc, if you are dosing Gluconate then you will most likely get 0 on the reading after few minutes.

people here in Utah keep them in hard water and breed them in there, so i don't think GH/Kh is the problem, it sound more like co2 or csm+b if you are dosing too much of either one.
