Anybody ever look into a correlation between Salt levels and BBA?

Just wondering.
Seems like my new tap water is harder and may have some sodium and BBA is going mad since moving houses.
edit: Doesnt dechlorinator turn chlorine into sodium in some form? Herm..

Only thing I can think of is that I have too much leaf litter in the tank.

It coats the walls of the filter and smothers the bio media...

Looks like a lot of foreground plants could be moved into the midground as well, thicken that out and create some texture...

Your water from the tap can change randomly too, especially in the summer, they will raise the KH and add more chlorine to prevent nasties which like the warmer water.

Yea, there was a thread a while back about this - i think copper was actually the least of our worries, there were 5 or 6 chemicals that were all unsafe for shrimp.

KH is your carbonate hardness, these rocks will almost definitely raise your KH, which many plants and fish hate.

The result of high KH is that your pH will be pretty high and it will be harder...
