In my 55g, I regularly get them to flower. They usually open and look pretty. I trim them off after a while because they stop growing and just become algae magnets.

Go for it, just make sure that it is legal to keep native fishes in your area. I keep native sunfish and it is both challenging and rewarding.

I have 11 nerites (1 died) that I purchased from a member on here (Zid zulander) several months ago. I EI dose, use co2 and dose excel. I think finding a reputable source if very important.

I keep a small amount of duckweed in my tanks. Just keep up with it and it won't get out of control.

It is a fast grower. I had one hitch hike in with another plant it was very little and didn't know what it was, but it didn't take long before it git pretty big. Nice plant and easy to care for

I don't think duckweed is that bad. You just need to control it. To much of it makes a real mess and will block out most of your light so that the bottom gets little to none. You will be surprised...
