She is lovely and will live alone for the rest of her days in a 46 gallon.
Her tankmates are one albino bn and several pristellas- much faster than her.

It's not cruel if you monitor the levels and make sure they are not elevated beyond reasonable levels. Stocking slowly is the key.

I have never been able to keep more than one dwarf puffer in any tank. They have always killed each other off until one remains. Yes sometimes it's hard to get them to eat anything except live food....

I think it depends on the species and the tank size. If you put 6 neon tetra in a 10 gallon you won't see them school to much but if you put those same 6 neons in a 33 long you will see better...
