The one suspect not in your line up and the one I have had the most sucess with being quiet is the Fushion line of air pumps. I tried many and this is what I settled on. They are quite cheap also.

While it is true that there is an acclimation time for plants to adjust, I think that the majority of time it is the tank parameters itself that is the problem.

I use plain pool filter sand, use dry ferts and root tabs, co2, and t5ho lighting and have been able to grow almost anything very well.
