When I saw those clips they reminded me of the clips used to hold xmas lights onto the gutters. I think a bag of 50 or so just costs a few dollars. Think they would work perfect on the container.

I use a rena xp3 on my 40 planted breeder. Works well, never had any issues with it, and runs very quiet which was a huge plus.

For microsword, I broke my matt up into small pieces. Small pieces with maybe 5 pieces with some roots on it and then used tweezers to root the plant. Works well enough, it is time consuming though....

Maybe a hydor mini heater. They are fairly small around the size of a credit card and fairly thin. Only problem with them is they only raise the temperature of the tank a few degrees.
