Out of curiosity, why did you leave that secondary valve (smaller black knob) to the left of the main regulator? It's not needed and makes your setup bigger than it needs to be.

You want the CO2 in at the other end, further from the output. Aside from that, if you have a big CO2 bubble in your reactor, you need to figure out why, not just turn off your CO2.

I would say if you don't know what a plant is, you do need to google it and learn about it, as RWaters said above. You don't want to buy a plant that won't work well in the environment you have...

In my high tech tank with CO2, ferts, and about 80 PAR it grows like a weed. It can double in volume in about 2 weeks. I'd say it's probably not great as a "carpet" plant because it's sort of bushy...

I think you can use a small NPN transistor. I'd say take a crack at it... worst case it that it just doesn't work right. It should work though....

Reducing flow rate anywhere should increase dissolution if it's not already at 100%. All I'm saying is that the amount of dissolution is due to flow rate and not actual PSI pressure in the reactor....

That's not due to PSI pressure in the reactor, that's due to the fact that the water is flowing slower and the CO2 bubbles have less force to work against. Both reactor designs are based on CO2...
