Agree with Blacktetra, same with SAE until they start eating food they do ok, then they just wait to be fed, best way is to see why you are getting the algae, and go with manual labor.

Glad this are getting better, I am on the same page with caique. You just have to find a balance, the slow growing plants are very susceptible to algae.

Agree on the GBRs, the trick is to give them enough room and you can keep multiple pairs.
That said do not overstock the bottom of your tank.

I like GBRs better, they key is as stated, good stock and maintaining proper water conditions, this includes as stated above, water changes, filtration, do not over feed (good food in small amounts)....
