They are quite big and it takes them 2~3 weeks to become mosquitoes. Most fishes like them. It shouldn't be that hard to notice them in the tanks.

I'm afraid the bleach is too basic (pH too high) , which is not good for the diffuser. Never know how to check though. I think acidic solution should be better. Or how about just H2O2 or excel?

I tried that one. It's not very fine made. I still like the koi one. I bought the full version, although it's not so planted. Hopefully in the future someone will make a fine planted tank version...
