it's possible but my experience is: the more colorful the shrimp the more likely the Betta will be agitated by the red hues. that bowl is also a very small space. if the Betta chases it, it's lunch

Also, the marbling is a trait some hobbyists look for. they get marble bettas knowing that their colors will change. it's part of the fun for this particular color morph :bounce:

I caught the shrimp cleaning (or eating?) the tail of the betta. I think it was just picking off things from the tail and I'm hoping I don't now have to worry about the betta....

I did. the person was very kind about it. offered a refund but I did not take it because I happen to like the shrimp and again, I did not pay much for them so I felt it wrong to accept the refund.

wow, I did not know they eat moss. I have scuds and lots of moss. The moss seems to be growing in my tank. So I guess if your moss growth outdoes the rate the scuds eat it, you should be fine
