Can a fish ever really recover from dropsy? I thought that once it shows the signs of dropsy, the damage has been done to the kidney/liver even if you get the fish to stop showing the physical signs.

If I had to do it all over, I'd buy adults. I loved seeing my juvies grow out to nice shapes but it was a bit of a PITA. The money you "save" by buying juvies and growing out is more than made up...
