I'm using Safe T Sorb and found the KH drop to be temporary. It only lowered for about 2 weeks at most. The KH of my water supply is usually about 5 and the aquarium water reads the same.

You dont want to mix phosphates with your iron (Fe). It will cause Fe to precipitate out. You can dose at the same time however, but not from the same container.
