Yep, they are black bar endlers. Really nice colored ones too. I've got some that are almost identical but you've got to look a bit to find ones for sale with nice coloration.

The same thing happened to my dual bulb 24" model a month ago. My tank had a plastic cover so it melted through that too. I don't trust it anymore so I just put an old fixture back over the tank.
