Aquafella.....red plants usually require more potent light, which would mean co2. There are a few exceptions, but for the most part, higher light is required.

I see what you are trying to do, but I'm with Izzy. Aquasoil breaks up kind of easy too, so any bottom dwellers or fast moving fish are going to stir that up.
