If you are just really wanting to boost up the TDS, you could use Mosura TDS Up. I find that a little bit goes a pretty long way.

I use 1/8th of a teaspoon of Mosura TDS Up in conjunction with...

They can do well with a range of parameters, but most people find that they do the best with a GH of around 5, and a KH between 0-2. Also, 75 might be just a bit warm. Generally, folks shoot for 73...

One other thing to keep in mind is that males tend to be lighter colored, so I try to make sure that they are large enough that I can positively tell if they are male or female so that I don't cull...

I've become a big fan of those MarinePure bio balls, and with those in a 2215 on a 20H, I think you'd be really happy. If it (2215) fits great in your setup, I wouldn't hesitate.

I run the Eheim 2213 filters on my 20 gal long shrimp tanks, and it works really well. I make my own spray bars (just buy rigid tubing from Tap Plastics and drill) so I can control the flow. I...

My shrimp feed just fine at night. Sometimes I feed them after putting the kids to bed and the tank lights are already off. They seem to swarm it just as fast as when their tank lights are on. In...

I wouldn't change a thing. You have no shrimp losses, they are starting to berry up, and you want to change a parameter that is fluctuating by .4? Depending on how you are measuring pH, the readings...

It depends what kind of nerite snails that you have as far as indicating water quality. It is often repeated that if they are above the water, something must be bad with the water. That is not a...

Jay nailed it right on. If that sponge is established, it'll be perfect. On a lot of my tanks, I just used a simple ATI sponge. It was easily enough for shrimp. I'm now switching over to the Tower...

This has been my general experience as well. In my tanks that are lower than 7.0, I generally add a couple extra nerites and hope one or two will take hold. I have some that seem not to care at...
