I dont want a new tank yet because in 2 years I will be moving across contry so that is why I was wondering if I could put the 65w aside and use a lower 36w bulb in it without any problems.

I come home and my light, CFL 36W over a 10g with CO2, is not working it is glowing a low level red with some spurts of light. Now I did not think it is the CF bulb since it is just under a year old...
