Just a Ramshorn snail. Eats dying plant matter. They will reproduce rapidly if you overfeed and don't maintain your tank.

Good snail to have though in my opinion.

It's definitely due to a lower light area. If you look at the top two nodes, they are closer to the light at that point and growing much denser.

I agree, don't see why not. If you don't like it eventually just pull and replant somewhere else. I replant and change my scape sometimes weekly if I'm not happy.

Swords grow tall and wide, yes, however rotala will outgrow the sword in height no matter how many times you cut it. I'd keep them separate or have the rotala behind the sword.

Those ports are on the vdm module as I mentioned. They are not on the eb8. Unless BML figured a way to use the aquabus USB ports that I'm not aware of.

The base eb8 has no v1/v2 and v3/v4 ports....
