I had green water. Added a UV sterilizer in tank version. Only took a few days and water was clear. I removed it thereafter.

Well, I have been struggling with Hair Algae! This stuff sucks! I have reduced the photoperiod in hopes that it will go away. Seems to be subsiding. No new fish added but the platys are prolific....
