Mine does not work as well...it's been like that since i got it, but i figured it was normal. The fan only works when the front bulbs are on.

hmm...I think it's more that dry dosing likes him better than liquids. At least as far as his pockets are concerned. For 20 bucks or so you get about a pound of each of the nutrients you need...

I wouldn't bleach the flourite - not because it would ruin the substrate but simply because its totaly unecessary.

By tranfering it to another tank and thus stiring it up you will loose that...
