As I understand it, torsion is a bigger concern than being level. Its the twisting from torsion that will destroy a tank.

I've used ada diffusers and used to swear by my GLA inline but at least for me they were all outperformed by my $17 cheapo ebay inline reactor. I can only imagine what a proper rector would be like....
