Hmm... I'm really not sure on this one. I started to suggest that it should be left to grow out as it might be a plant such as one of the Hydrocotyle species but I'm not sure of that after closer...

Greggz or maybe Immortal1 might have an idea or resources of where to find them. I've found my local aquarium/plant clubs to be a valuable resource for things like that. Unfortunately, my local clubs...

Yeah, MTS is never cured. You do get much better at the maintenance and proper upkeep as you become more experience and knowledge. I share this from personal experience as I currently have 6 tanks...

I would suggest trying to find a source other than Petco/Petsmart as rainbows are a group of fish that are notoriously overbred. Finding fish from somewhere else would give you the opportunity to...

I'd probably spend some time cutting away that flat end. Maybe use a hand saw to cut a couple wedge shaped chucks out and then use something like a dremel to take some of the obviously man-made...

Damn, I'm gonna miss this tank! It was such an awsome low tech setup for shrimp. That moss carpet was epic!

That's too bad that it melted. I've always been successful with pieces of rhizome, but have generally left them in decent light. Another suggestion would be to make sure you remove the entire stem...

To Soil or not to Soil that is the question.

I've got my mg mixed with the Flourite Onyx Sand. I figured it would provide something with a high CEC to the mix. I've capped it with black diamond blasting sand or bdbs mixed with the Onyx Sand....
