Anyone ever try keeping Java moss, fern, or crypts in a tank just using natural light in a room? I assume they would be very slow growers.

Thanks for the replies. It sounds like I am doing the right thing (I only siphon out the water). I do have fertilizer in the substrate so I figured it wouldn't be a good idea to disturb it.
