I'm not sure how you would dose with that pump. There is no way to tell it to turn on or off unless you have controller like you would put on a reef tank. I use that pump to run an ATO on my reef...

For most yes. But if you have breeding tanks or discus tank you should have RO and possibly RO/DI. I have a unit for my SW reef so I just make RO/DI for the SW and RO for the FW tanks
