tap water

I haven't set any tap water aside for testing. I will do that and see what comes from it.

Maybe I'm a little to worried about it. I do that some times.

i have not felt the shells. the new growth on shells hasnt developed.

Ph drops after each water change, then generally holds.

Snail Shells!

My nerite snails shells look soft and the points havn't really formed.

Are they nutrient deprived?

What nutrient would that be?

Calcium?

Slow growth and algae problems!

My plants are just not growing much and algae is a big problem. Not very heavyily planted. I just don't know why that is.

actually plants create co2 at night and use oxygen so in some instances an airstone is necessary for fish health. Not sure if I will need it, but I want it ready in case the need arises.
