Question Removing Silicone of front glass

I have a tank that I started to grow emersed crypts in. Never noticed before the smudge on the front glass. It only shows up when the surface is damp. Does NOT show when dry or submerged. Not sure...

Maybe bad thinking on my part. I have read that moving crypts into a new tank may cause them to not grow back after they melt. It also gives me a chance to move things around without making a mess....

I did the same thing with my first tank, bought some Seachem clarity which helped none at all. Later I discovered Seachem Purigen. Now that is some good stuff!
