When I was acclimating my new shrimp they climbed up the drip line. Some of them got stuck an I had to blow into the airline with fish water. Not a pleasant experience :(.

I usually just feed blanched vegetables, bee pollen, or regular fish food. I don't buy any of the expensive stuff and my shrimp are doing just fine.

I have riccia growing emersed. It takes on a darker green color when emersed. I even have duckweed growing emersed. When duckweed is emersed it grows larger leaves than when its floating.

Personally, I think leaving them floating helps them grow faster. I got mine about a week ago and it has already grown about 3-4 leaves. They're not the biggest leaves but they're still leaves.
