As far as I can tell, the stuff grows for some people, but not others for whatever picky reasons it has. Mine is quite nitrogen deprived, but is still growing and spreading like mad.

Shove it into whatever nook or crevice it fits in. Gently. I've had pretty good results treating them like anubias, and they grow fantastic in my (half) low light 5.

I've kept babies in a 1/4 liter planted cube that was unheated and next to a window. They did fine. Neo shrimp do tend to be tough as nails.

Well technically it's not a sword at all. Swords are generally Echinodorus sp. To be fair, it does look like an anubias, and the families might be related, but one is not the other.

I've looked into it before, and to the extent of what I've found, Brazillian Sword is just a fancy name for a peace lilly. It can't grow submerged, but emersed it's fine, and can grow quite large....

I believe that it's 6,700k-10,000k spectrum for plants. I lean towards 6700k personally, I find that my 10K makes things look a bit washed out and mutes colors. Adding some warmer tones fixes that...

They stick their siphons out into the water...

They stick their siphons out into the water current to feed, but keep their body under the substrate. Since they aren't very visible, it's hard to tell if/when they die, and can cause ammonia issues.
