Yup, mine do anything but school, if they're in the same vicinity they're all facing different directions. I can attest to rummynose being the tightest schooling fish I've seen, embers as well.

Lead is a nono in a fish tank. Depending on how much and how long?? Could def. Be the culprit. Another thing may be the tap water, sometimes levels can be elevated due to construction or flushing..

I just heard a news report on cfls being the next big thing in lighting? Leds are my favorite by far though.. higher initial startup cost but the 50k hour run time is sexy as heck.

Here's a pic of my 30 long with 2 sats. Co2 and pps pro. Albeit slow.. in my tank.. They will grow most anything at 11".this is 5 months old, notice how low everything stays?? the downoi is perfect!...
