Pearl weed can grow pretty quickly in the right conditions. I have never used a par meter, but I can say that it will grow in the shade of dense floaters and buried under the leaves of crypts....

They come in on plants, an assassin snail will eat it. I like limpets, the glass in tanks that have had them always stays cleaner and for longer.

I can get leaf zone at a plant nursery, but it doesn't last long in a tank full of plants. My water is pretty hard, last water report I had come by measured about 17/18 degrees kh if I recall.

if i was having problems with just potassium and iron

And nothing else, what might you suggest as ferts? I have hard water so potassium bicarb isn't really ideal from what I understand. And edta iron doesn't fare well in my conditions? Dpta does better?...

I've had one for a couple years, not a clue what it eats, but it's always plump. The tank has always been fairly planted. I feed flake to the other fish, but never target fed the banjo.
