Yeah use the tubing for a cleaner look and a shorter post body. .030" wall thickness works for me. Use a tube cutter. Plenty on fleabay.

Use 316 stainless steel tubing with thick wall. The idea is to use the tubing as a supporter for the needle valve. It will bend if you use brass.

Yup you need to insert the CO2 nylon washer. Teflon is not needed for this part.
Make sure you use a crescent wrench to tighten it down.
