Yeah :( I was hoping the plants would grow into the mud and hold it together, but the one sprig that did ended up being blown away by the water current and tearing out a huge chunk in the mountain....

Yup, that's it! It's also recommended to get an o-ring for the valve to prevent leaks and such. I just took mine to Osh and tried out a bunch of rings to see which one fit.
