I'll take a look at that list, thanks. Why do smaller plants work better in smaller tanks though? Was there simply not enough nutrients to support something so big?

Hmmm, I don't know. I certainly don't want to rule out the possibility that it's my tank's fault, but I am just surprised the water could be lethal to one shrimp so quickly and not kill the others....

Yep! I'm surprised at how much I see the two little guys for how many hiding places there are and how relatively big the tank is. I'm not aiming to breed them. I may get an easier species for that.

What's the benefit of the gh/kh tester? I already know my water is hard. Is there anything I can even do to correct it after it tests out that way? Or maybe Im not understanding what the test does.
