I agree with the above. I have mgops capped with pool filter sand and about a dozen or so rcs with zero problems. The tank was running for about a year as well before I introduced the rcs though.

Thank you both, I will pull up some pics of the varieties and see if any match up better. I didnt capture it well but when I give good ferts and iron this plant gets a great color, almost bronze/red....

Cholla wood, indian almond leaves, alder cones, and moss. I also find they enjoy anything floating on the surface. I left some various plant trimmings floating and they go nuts on them.
