I have a mix of Ken's Veggie Flakes and Color...

I have a mix of Ken's Veggie Flakes and Color Flakes. You get a lot from Ken's for cheap. Also use Omega One Algae and Shrimp Pellets for my Corys and BN Pleco. Fish are healthy :)

Why not go with a Canister Filter? You'll get the most "overfiltering" with it and pretty quiet too. It's not bulky, the canister is placed below your tank and you'll only have the tubes hanging off...
