I have a hard enough time finding the color temp on most bulbs not sold through specialty sites/stores - can you explain CRI & Lux and is there a site that may list them for popular sizes of NO bulbs...

I have to concur - if you use jobes spikes and disturbe the substrate you can get a huge mess of algae which will be a PITA to put an end to.

However jobes are cheap and do make nutrients...

I wouldn't say any fish or other critters devour hairalgae fast enough to eliminate it in a problem tank but mollies have eaten it in my tank - so if you get most of it under control you might try...
