I run two 39W hagen lifeglo 6700k T5s. I run each bulb for half the photoperiod, basically giving me the same as 1 bulb of coverage all day. The bulbs are very old - about 3 years or so.

I dose one of my low tech tanks but not the other. I would try it without dosing first. The fish waste may be enough. If you are only going to grow moss and anubias, I wouldn't worry about substrate...

You do NOT need CO2 to get Java fern big, bright, and green.

I grow it in 2 tanks, both low tech. The first is my office 65g tank. It gets weekly ferts. Grows under a single T5HO with a bad...

That coralife is a good fixture. Regarding floating plants, it is hard to say. If you cover the surface with them no light is going to be enough. If you cover half the surface, you can grow whereever...

If you aren't injecting CO2 that's going to be way too much light unless you suspend it pretty high. You'll really regret going that route imo. You'd be better off with a single T5HO bulb. Something...

Also, if you don't want to buy pumps, you can split the return line after the pump, and run that into the UV. Just get a valve so you can choke back the flow through the UV (you don't want high flow...

I wouldn't do it this way. I'd just pull water from one end of the sump for the UV and then dump it to the other end. Overcomplicating the return line, while feasible, is probably a bad idea. What...
