Growing high and low light plants in the same aquarium

So I got to thinking, if I use high light plants to shade the low light plants it might work? The main thing is I do not want algae growing on slow growing plants like the Anubias Nana.

Sure it is a 29 gallon with the filter at full speed. The co2 bps are faster than I can count.. maybe 9-11? I set the pressure at 18 psi and the bubbles come out of the disc diffuser nice and micro...

I guess I'm too late chiming in but what I would do is bury a shot glass in the substrate so your heater bottom would have a cavity to rest in.

I did this for my co2 diffuser to get it low enough...

I have the studio 900 and it's drilled from the bottom. I was nervous at first but hey, the pipes are sealed with o rings, the most perfect seal known to mankind.

What I've found out is start with a smaller gpm pump and work your way up as your plants develop.

It never hurts to have a few hydors around, as they are reasonably priced and have that neat...
