Cork tiles and paper bark - is it safe?

In my experience bettafix and melafix don't do much at all. All you need to add during a water change is a product to dechlorinate the new water.

Does the tank have a heater? If so, raise the temp up to 86-88F and increase the number of water changes on the tank. Heat alone is enough to kill off ich. Leave the temp up for at least one week...
