it's a matter of preference. the atomic diffusors work great, but some people (including me) don't like the bubble haze. A reactor can be used instead of a diffusor.

Soxfandowd, not everyone uses a reactor (used to dissolve CO2). But yes, if you use one, you'll need to tip it a bit.

yeah, I'm curious, too, why you think it's a waste. Again, I've used Classics for about 25 years and always thought they were great. But the 2075 is an improvement.

I used Classics for years but most recently bought a Pro 2075. Love it. So much easier to clean. Can be a pain to prime it the first time, but believe me, the ease of cleaning it more than makes up...
