Most of these plants will grow very in hard water. My tanks are all filled with high pH, high hardness municipal tapwater and the riparium plants grow just fine. They are less fussy than most...

Leather fern (Acrostichum danaefolium) grows very well in a riparium. I have also had pretty good results with Marsilea.

I have used this little Mr. Aqua 11.4G for several riparium layouts. This new planting is coming together pretty nice. Notice the single pink Ruellia Bluebell flower.
