They will grow but you may not like the way they...
They will grow but you may not like the way they grow. In higher light they grow more compact with more leaves and show nice color while in lower light they put out a leaf and it just shoots up fast...

Raise the lights , remove the glass and you will get as much or more light in the tank and keep it cooler as well....
