Its not its brightness but the amount of light from the entire spectrum. Perhaps you mean that some light is being blocked by plants and ornaments. The same light that makes plants grow makes algae...

I have found the 6700s to be quite green in appearence. In europe we tend to use 4100K to 5500K and some 6000K. The 4100s are reddish and yellowish> depends on the CRI. Phillips and Sylvania bulbs...

They have the best prices fro Fulham Workhose ballasts I've ever seen.
The reflector os 48" x 9.5" miro4 and was only $25.
Way to go Natural lighting...
