Hmmm what about something high in copper? Aquarium medication like coppersafe maybe? Although I don't know if a couple of water changes would make the aquarium safe after that.

Thanks for the responses, and good point. I guess I was curious to how many different aquarium plants you have in total. Just trying to justify my habit of adding new plants so often to the wife. :)

I had some Normans lampreys in a tank full of cherry shrimp and no problems. In fact didn't even know they had bred and laid eggs, just ended up with fry.
