I had a pair in a 10g, they never really took to any of the dried or frozen food I gave them - mostly subsisted off of shrimplets I assume. Unfortunately they only lasted in my setup for a few months.

I have a group of Peacock Gudgeons that I bought at roughly the same time and one is now much smaller than the rest - he just gets dominated at feeding time. I try to specifically feed him literally...

+1 on the plumbed wood! I have my shrimp tank right in front of a window w/o algae issues but thats just sand and root tabs ... Also is that some sort of plant in your HOB?

Do you run an airstone? I had a few of mine die like yours, but for the most part they're happy as clams.
