I think that would be a perfect tank for you to use at work, one power cord, everything built in, etc... As for the light, it is not good for a planted tank, but whoever you buy it from should be...

I think I might just do that, but I wonder if that would be overkill (cherries and otos) until I have an outbreak of algae. Endlers isn't a bad idea, at least I could do a few males.

Look at the feeder made by lifegaurd. You put in the exact amount you want released at each feeding. This way all inaccuracies except for the timer are cut out, flake or pellet.

Any quality tank should work just fine. Any of the AGA tanks that the big box stores sell would work great. They also make a Minibow that would be perfect, and looks pretty good, at least in black....

I would say buy one of the Azoo Razzle-Dazzle kits, and just try to do a good job of planting it. There aren't any fish I would want to keep in a tank that small.
