Lightbulb I am over driving 2 of the same size bulbs right...

I am over driving 2 of the same size bulbs right now over a 10g. I just tricked the ballast by hooking them up like one 36" bulb. I'm over driving the bubls X4 using ADVANCE ICN-4P32-SC ballast.

It might be easier to just buy a new 10g and put the new flourite in it. Then just take out the plants and put them in there new home. Then it should be easier to find the remaining shrimp in the old...

Most only use a glass hood if they have fish that are known for jumping out, or evaporation is a problem.
I do think they cut down on the light a little bit also.

Another type media to consider is Seachem Purigen. I use it and it works...

Very good question. I also wonder why these aren't used as much. I go the the local fish store and there display tank is lite with Metal Halides. The color pops out the the plants alot more with HID...

I would just try putting the end of the hose from your co2 under the intput of the filter. It would dissolve it alot better this way.
I dont know how hot magnums handle co2 injected into them...
