For an orange plant, I've had luck with myriophyllum tuberculatum. I have injected CO2, but I'm terrible with dosing and it's still orange :).

I like it! The only thing that throws me off is how little sand there is. I know it's usually only a problem to have too much substrate, but it just seems like it's at an odd place between bare...

Yeah, it's been a few years since I've seen that plant :P. I think I'll just head to the LFS and see what they've got. If I try a single pot of HC and it fails I won't be too upset.

I'm not sure how effective DIY CO2 would be for four tanks from one source.. you'd need to have enough pressure coming from the bottle to push CO2 to all of them. You might be better off using two...
