I think it looks like too small a tank, then again I have a single betta in a 5 gallon. I like the idea of having space to put wood and plants with enough room for the betta to swim around.

It's that plastic mesh used for yarn crafts, right? Just tie the plants with some thread and a needle straight to the mesh. Then you can put as many ferns as you want.

I never minded swimming in the local lakes and rivers. I like swimming in our pool at home better than at school or the YMCA... the excess chlorine makes my eyes and skin itch.
